We are so grateful to be tenants of the beautiful UCC Campus. While Maple Corner is a separate entity from UCC, we intentionally use our location to help students feel connected to the broader campus community and comfortable in a college setting.
Guest Speakers and Real World Connections
UCC professors, athletes, and campus leaders visit our school to share expertise and bring learning to life through assemblies and classroom experiences.
A Safe, Supported Setting
We benefit from the UCC campus security presence, which helps monitor our area and supports a secure learning environment.
Hands On Labs and STEAM Learning
Students extend classroom learning through visits to UCC’s nursing and chemistry labs and use of the STEAM Hub for exploration, design, and problem solving.
Campus Life and Community Traditions
Students build a sense of belonging through campus walks, seasonal events like trick or treating with UCC staff, and Maple Corner Nights at UCC sporting events.
Health, Fitness, and Summer Fun
We benefit from access to UCC’s track for movement and fitness and the pool during summer camp.
Service and Practicum Partnerships
UCC students support our community through their day of service, reading with students, and early childhood education practicums in our preschool classrooms.
Performing Arts on a Real Stage
Students perform in Jacoby Auditorium as well as put on assemblies, and take music classes in UCC’s Whipple Fine Arts building, experiencing the arts in dedicated performance and rehearsal spaces.
A Head Start on College Familiarity
By growing up alongside a college campus, students gain comfort and familiarity with higher education and develop a natural connection to their local community college.
