Admissions Process
We are honored that you are considering us for your education needs. Please see below how our admissions process works.
You are invited to a tour of our campus. We highly recommend touring our campus first to familiarize yourself with our program. School tours are a wonderful opportunity to observe the classrooms, for informal discussions about the school and for us to learn about your child. Upon receiving your application, your child's name will be added to our waitlist for your desired school year. Tours are scheduled by appointment. Reserve your spot here.
If, after the in-person tour you feel that Maple Corner Montessori is the right fit for your family, apply online below. We accept applications year-round for all age levels. After your application is received, your child will be placed on our waitlist until enrollment season, which occurs from March to April, or until a spot becomes available. We encourage all families to submit their application by February 1st to increase their chances of securing a spot for the upcoming school year.
During enrollment season and as spots become available throughout the year, our admissions committee will contact families to schedule an assessment with the child. The assessment is designed to determine the child's developmental readiness for our program, including their response to directions from teachers, behavior in a classroom setting, and interactions with other students. Applicants will also complete age appropriate reading, math, and general knowledge tasks during their time in the classroom.
After we receive the completed application for each child and have completed the assessment, our admissions team reviews the applicant in light of classroom needs, age balance, and our ability to meet the child’s needs. Admission offers are based on program availability and overall fit, and we are not always able to admit every student who applies. If space is not available, a child may be placed on the waitlist. Families will be notified by email of the admission decision as soon as possible, typically within one week of the assessment and committee review. If admission is offered, families will receive next steps for enrollment and tuition payments.
In March or April, we will contact families based on our projected openings for the following fall. We will reach out by phone and email, and if we do not receive a response after multiple attempts, we will remove your child from the waitlist.
Waitlists roll over from year to year, so there is no need to reapply. If you have enrolled elsewhere or no longer wish to be considered, please email info@maplecornermontessori.com to be removed from the waitlist.
Families are also welcome to call at any time throughout the year to check on waitlist status or to reaffirm interest.
Preschool students must be at least 3 years of age and demonstrate independent use of toilet facilities; Developmental readiness is considered.
Elementary Students must include school records or report cards with their application. In certain cases, we may ask for letters of recommendation from previous teachers as well.
